Hour 30: 7/14 Mock

Hour 30 (3)

Here is more from this Mock. It is surprisingly fun and engaging. This hour was far more productive via a chart. Making the chart was inspired by this Raveler. Brilliant!

Hours 28 and 29: 7/14 Mock

Hours 28 and 29 (1 and 2)

Hours 28 and 29 (1 and 2)
I am sneaking in a sock for myself. While hunting for patterns on Ravelry, I came across the SKA July 2014 Mock (Mystery Sock). Now, I have a sock that I can work on around my love. I am breaking in my Kollage size US 0 needles that I bought from Webs on our trip to Mass. in April.

Hours 9-20: Porthos, Tree in Montana, Purple Delight

So I have neglected this blog and only slightly less neglected the sock challenge.I am catching up though. Over the last months, I have sporadically doing few hours here and there.

Let's catch up on Porthos:

Hours 9 and 10

Hours 11 and 12 (and done with one)
Bind off: JSSBO
Cuff: 12 rounds of 2x2 rib

Hour 13 (1) of the second sock
Meanwhile, I started a new sock that I am calling Tree in Montana because I am using a broken rib that we all like in a scarf called Montana. And the color palette makes me think of a blue sky in the woods.
Cast on: 12 of Judy's Magic CO
Increased to 66 (33 on each)
Stitch pattern: Round 1 is 1x1 rib abd Round 2 is 3x3 rib

Hour 14 (1)

Hour 15 (2)

Hour 16 (3)

And, then, I had been eyeballing this gorgeous Manos del Uruguay Allegria that happens to be in my man's favorite color, purple. These socks shall be called Purple Delight.
Cast on: 12 of Judy's Magic CO
Increased to 64 (32 on each)
Stitch pattern: Good old ST.st

Hour 17 (1).  I thought that it matched my breakfast snack very nicely.

Hour 18 (2)

Hour 19 (3)

Hour 20 (4). This picture is just before the heel (Fish  Lips Kiss) and I work 73 rounds after the increases.
I am determined to meet my original goal. I just need to work double time!

Hours 5-8: Porthos

I had one goal for today (though, many things that needed to be done outside of that goal): 4 hours (yesterday and today's double time).
The markers actually mark off days worth of progress(Tuesday and today, respectively).

Onto the Cuff

FLK heel, pretty nice

Hour 1 and 2: Porthos

I want to make my husband at least 12 pairs of Socks this year to give him for Christmas. I am planning to knit for 1 hr each day on this project. I think that it will be fun to see how long it takes to make each sock and how many socks can be made in that many hours.

I have missed January, so there will have to be some double time later on to make up for that miss. The year had a rocky start (flu for all) and I finally feel like I can start addressing some of my goals(resolutions) for 2014. This first entry represents about an hour last night and and hour today.

The first pair that I have settled on is adapted from the pattern Porthos by Caoua Coffee. I am working toe-up, having cast on with Judy's Magic CO and increased to 64sts. I am planning on doing the Fish Lips Kiss Heel when I get there. Needles are Addi Sock Rockets US0/2mm and the yarn is Cascade Heritage Color 5619.
